My husband is on a quest… to find the best burgers in town.  Even though he is not the best candidate to do this ( high cholesterol and all), it is still his holy grail ( walang basagan ng trip.)  So just to be supportive… I, along with my calorie counter embarks with him on this quest.

So we had the following items:

Speculoos Cookie Butter Milkshake

Ice cream+ Whip cream+ Graham Crackers and probably 2 tablespoons of Speculoos.  What part of it don’t you get?

Its so good you know its bad for you.

Double Cheese Burger

According to the hubby this is the best burger he has tasted, no frills, just pure caveman joy.  I just added bacon because i like them on my burger(of course he didn’t complain about that). Burgers are the easiest to make and mask, you can just pile it up with different flavours.  But if your meat is good, the aftertaste and texture of the patty leaves a distinct taste of steak.  Fellow carnivores know what this means.

Good Ol Hot Chicken Wings

I don’t know if when they said hot, it will be spicy.  This one was sweet.  It tasted ok.  Well they didn’t call their place Chicken Wings Bar Anyway.

Good Ol' Hot Fried Wings was ok only.

The Hangover

This was a bit complicated.  If you are more inclined to a lot of flavours you might enjoy this.  The meat is a bit harder to chew because they claim it has more gamey cuts…whatever that means.

The Hangover Burger Onion-griddled double patty big game blend of hanger and brisket, yellow cheddar, crisp prosciutto, fried egg, arugula, caramelized onions, BBQ sauce and house aioli all on a sesame seed bun

The Rising Shroom

This was okay.  A bit complicated still but better tasting for me .  The mushroom and cheese complimented the better tasting patty. Still, I think the deep fried oyster mushroom was overkill.

The Rising Shroom Mustard-fried double patty steak cut blend of sirloin and chuck, fried oyster mushroom tempura, white truffle creamed cheese and sauteed mushrooms all on a kaiser roll

Whatever you do, don’t order the onion rings; its like Lil’ Donuts, the batter is like pancakes.  The fries are ok and crunchy, nothing special.  But again, you go there for the burger and maybe the Speculoos milkshake. For those who like  Nutella than the cookie butter spread, they also have this milkshake variant.  if you are like me who calorie counts, just don’t eat the rest of the day.

Verdict: Its a 5.  Will eat there Once A Month. The hubby really loves this place and he is quite the burger expert. Its not that expensive, so you will see lots of young people hanging out.  The place is small but very modern.  The service is ok, they even offered my friend another bun to change her burnt out one.
