[fusion_text]I really hate it when people post photos of kids getting killed or hurt on facebook. After being a parent, you just can’t help imagining that this can happen to you kids. We advocate road safety and it’s heartbreaking to hear kids getting killed because their parents were not educated or made aware on the dangers of not being road safe.
Although its gaining popularity, we still see a lot of kids on the laps of their parents when riding in a car. Everyday Health reports that car crashes is the leading cause of death for kids ages 1-12 years old in America. Car seats in the states is required by law. But having a car seat is not enough, you must also find the age appropriate one and use it as it is meant to be.
According to Safecar.gov, you need to select a car seat that is age & size appropriate; you also need to consider what fits the size of your vehicle. You also need to follow the manufacturer’s instruction on how to install the car seat. Some car seats have Latch system, while other use the seat belts. Although you will probably get a lot of violent reactions, it is recommended to have your kids on a car seat until 12 (good luck to us.)
